This is an outstanding opportunity to be trained as a trader. Your major responsibilities will be monitoring positions, pricing options and clearing trades. Initially you will trade stocks but as soon as you are ready will move on to derivatives.
The trading is heavily systems based and as such you will need a strong aptitude for IT. Essential to the role will be a working knowledge of programming, in particular UNIX and PERL or C++.
To be considered for the role, you will need to be tertiary qualified, with excellent results in a financially related discipline. You'll be highly numerate, have an understanding of equity options and display a real passion for financial markets. Further, a minimum of 12 months experience in a related environment would be well regarded.
This is a an extremely dynamic and challenging environment, so excellent interpersonal skills as will as the ability to think on your feet will be essential.
